What changes did Covid-19 make in our daily life?
Our daily lives were a mixture of tension, loss, happiness, and achievement, but we were coping up and getting stronger with each passing day. Now and then, we’d like to take a long break and start anew. Everyone was rushing to get to work, kids were playing, students were hanging out with their friends. Nobody knew what was about to happen. In 2019, a virus spread through China, killing hundreds of people. It was all over the news worldwide and named the virus Corona Virus. Heres comes the concept of sustainable fashion

27th January 2020, India has its first-ever case about Corona Virus and started slowly and then began to be fatal. Many people died all over the globe and it’s still going on. It was a terrifying moment, and it continues to be so. The economic rate of both MNCs and others has plummeted to the point that they have resorted to its recruitment and online jobs. Students and graduates can concentrate and adapt to the modern digital educational system.
Most of the countries were on full lockdown in order to prevent the virus to spread, people stayed home. Employers and students and teachers all spent hours together in front of computers, working their way through what their representatives had said. This is Digital India, and as a result, Sustainable Fashion was born.
Did Covid-19 help us?
This Covid-19 made us develop new skills and gave us the time we needed to work on ourselves and forced us to think beyond the 4 walls. One of the major advantages of being online is we can gather the needed information then and there.
This pandemic had given many industries, NGOs, MNCs a huge creative change that needed people with new sets of skills rather than the old methodical recruitment.
Creativity comes to play in this pandemic where people wanted to see something new, fashion, products, our daily food, and pollution. Due to this pandemic, Renewable Energy was focused more.
Arts, fashion, and our everyday necessities have always played an important role in our lives. This pandemic aided the fashion industry greatly in developing biodegradable clothing and cosmetics. They began developing new herbal and eco-friendly clothing to reduce the adverse effects of plastic on the environment. On this, the entire world began together and turned their innovative ideas into environmentally-friendly goods.
People were enthralled by the concept of biodegradable clothing and essentials. Everyone would purchase these and save money in a way that benefits both the environment and the customer. The fresh look of biodegradable fashion clothing and essentials could be used in everyday life.
However, Economically biodegradable products are expensive but they’ll be affordable than the normal products containing nylon, polyester, and plastic which is harmful to the environment as the demand for Sustainable fashion increases.
What is Sustainable fashion and how is it going to take over?

Clothes made of non-biodegradable fabrics such as polyester, spandex, and nylon can take anywhere from 20 to 200 years to biodegrade.
Fashion companies have had to invest in research and development for the following qualities,
- Durable.
- Renewable.
- Biodegradable.
So the fabrics and base materials as customer understanding of sustainability has grown by leaps and bounds.
This necessitates companies to study all available fabrics and selecting the one that best suits their product portfolio.
This Biodegradable or Sustainable fashion is the process of “recycling, upcycling, minimalism, and renting clothes that are environmentally and fashion-friendly. The compostable clothing culture is sweeping the industry.
The evolution of green consumerism and sustainability has pushed designers, scientists to work harder to create new fabrics.
According to a case study on sustainability and fashion, it has been said that as people are well aware of this biodegradable product and the environmental harm that plastic does, in the upcoming years the Sustainable fashion is going to improve gradually and the cost will be affordable, but the major disadvantage of sustainable growth is that not having many options which are visible right now. As it starts growing, we might find more options in Fashion culture.
Thus, resulting in improvement and courses should be offered on this sustainability.
What are all the available sources for Sustainable clothes today?

renewable and eco-friendly
Cotton is degradable, but cotton isn’t environmentally friendly. It uses more than four times as much water as hemp in its entire manufacturing process.
Cotton is often not cultivated organically, and pesticides are used, which have harmful consequences for the environment and human health.
Organic cotton is good, but other fabrics outperform it in terms of sustainability.
Cotton is also problematic because, although it biodegrades, it is a combination of pesticides and dyes that can leach into the soil until the fabric is broken down.
ALGAE
ECO-FRIENDLY SEA VEGETABLE
Algae is a possible ingredient in plant-meat production. These adaptable sea vegetables can also be used to create environmentally friendly fabrics for the fashion industry.
Algalife utilizes a zero-waste method by cultivating its algae in solar-powered farms while using 80 percent less water in the process.
HEMP
DURABLE FABRICS
